+ Once a character has asked to battle another character, and ONLY if they accept, then and only then will a battle be able to commence.
+ In determining who goes first, go back to Step One, here.
+ You may only use 3 Pokemon within a Pokemon Battle, so choose wisely.
+ Once you have chosen your Pokemon that will be battling, tell your opponent. "I'm choosing (Pokemon1), (Pokemon2), and (Pokemon3) in this battle!" Something along those lines. Just let the other player know what they're up against so they may begin a strategy.
+ Once you and your opponent's first Pokemon are called and are out, whoever goes first does so.
Battle Example:
+ Pokemon may learn well over 4 moves, unlike in the games, HOWEVER, only 4 moves may be used in battle.
For example, if you have a Charizard, he could know over 10 different moves, but 4 must be chosen to use throughout the battle. Once the 4 moves are chosen, ONLY THOSE 4 ATTACKS CAN BE USED.
Example:
Pokemon Trainer 1's Charizard knows: Flare Blitz, Fire Fang, Fly, Ember, Wing Attack, Smoke Screen, Dragon Rage, and Heat Wave.
Pokemon Trainer 1's Charizard chooses to only use: Flare Blitz, Ember, Fire Fang, and Wing Attack.
+ Attacks switch and go back and forth, taking turns. PokeTrainer 1 goes first, using an attack. PokeTrainer 2 gets hit, then attacks back, PokeTrainer 1 evades the attack and attacks back, PokeTrainer 2 evades, then attacks back, ect... Or, however you want to do it. BUT, it always goes from one player to the other.
+ YOU MAY NOT ATTACK TWICE WITHIN ONE TURN. You can ONLY attack and evade in the same turn, or get hit by an attack and attack back in the same turn, nothing else.
+ There is no maximum number of times you can use one move. Use any move as many times as you need to to try and defeat your opponent. But, still.. TRY to change it up a bit. Don't just use Flamethrower 5 times in a row, battles will get insanely boring if they're very repetitive.
+ The weaker element of the two Pokemon fighting may use between 5-8 turns so they have a chance to defeat a stronger elemental Pokemon. Pokemon that are the stronger of the two only get 3-5 turns, but their attacks are more powerful than the weaker, obviously, hence the lesser turns for each stronger Pokemon. This way also, battles are fair and somewhat evenly matched. (see element strength/weakness chart below)
If the Pokemon are evenly matched, each Pokemon gets 4-6 turns each.
+ Before a Pokemon can be considered Knocked Out or Fainted, that Pokemon must have been hit AT LEAST 3 times. If someone attacks you only twice and claims you're Pokemon should be knocked out, sorry for them, but they're wrong. You have at least one more attack you can take on that one Pokemon before the Pokemon can be declared defeated.
+ BE NICE. AND BE MATURE. Everyone will lose at least once, everyone must. There is NO ONE among the forum who will have a record of the title "Undefeated". When it comes to ending the battle, whoever is the obvious winner is announced, and the loser must admit defeat. "You've done it", "You've beat me", "You've won", anything along those lines to declare the end of the battle. Don't try and drag out battles that you have obviously lost. Yes, you may always have a fighting chance, but when you have a Bulbasaur and your using only Vine Whip against a Charmander over and over when Charmander has used Flamethrower over 3 times, YOU'VE BEEN KNOCKED OUT. Just.. KNOW when its your Pokemon's time to faint. We're trusting everyone own judgment to be fair, and to admit when your Pokemon has been knocked out. Everyone is responsible for determining their own ending of the battle. You start it, you finish it. If anyone is having disagreements or if someone is being very unfair and refuses to admit defeat, post a new topic here stating there's a problem, and a link location of where the battle is happening. Staff will overlook the battle, then STAFF will determine a winner. ONCE A BATTLE DISPUTE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO STAFF'S ATTENTION, IT IS IN STAFF'S HANDS NOW, AND WHATEVER THE STAFF DECIDES IS FINAL. No questions asked.
Hey.. If you ask for help, don't be mad with the results.
HAVE FUN!
+ And above all, NO SORE LOSERS. EVERYONE will win some, and EVERYONE will lose some. It's part of life, and it's a part of this forum.

Battle Example:
Pokemon Trainer 1: 6 total Pokemon, Male, didn't initiate battle.
Pokemon Trainer 2: 6 total Pokemon, Male, asked for the battle.
= PokeTrainer 1 goes first.
